Privacy Policy

What information EditorFlows collects, why we need it, and the choices you have.

Version 2026-10-24

What we collect

  • Account details: your email address, name, password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider), whether you signed up to hire or to work, and when you accepted our Terms.
  • Freelancer profiles: photo, headline, bio, skills, location and experience if you add them, website, portfolio pieces and services, plus your Human-Made Policy acceptance and our review decisions.
  • Messages, orders and deliveries: what you write to other users, the files you attach to messages, order briefs and terms, and the files and links freelancers deliver.
  • Reviews: the rating and comment a client leaves after an order, shown publicly with the client's first name and last initial, and the freelancer's reply.
  • Reports you send us about profiles or services.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser and device details, and server logs that our hosting providers record to run the site securely.

Cookies

We use cookies only to keep you logged in. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. If bot protection is shown on a form, Cloudflare Turnstile may process technical information to tell people from bots. Videos from YouTube or Vimeo load only when you press play; after that, those services' own policies apply.

How we use it

  • To run your account and show approved freelancer profiles to clients.
  • To review applications and enforce our Terms and Human-Made Policy.
  • To deliver messages and run orders. Our team may read the messages and files of an order or conversation when investigating a dispute or report.
  • To send emails about your account, such as confirmations and application decisions.
  • To keep EditorFlows secure and prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To meet legal obligations.

What's public

Once approved, a freelancer's profile is public: name, photo, headline, bio, skills, location, experience, website, portfolio and services. Email addresses are never shown publicly. Client accounts aren't public.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising. We share it only with providers that run EditorFlows for us, under contracts that limit how they use it:

  • Supabase (database, login and file storage)
  • Vercel (website hosting)
  • Resend (email delivery)
  • Cloudflare (bot protection)
  • Stripe (card payments, and identity, tax and bank details for freelancer payouts, which Stripe collects directly; see Stripe's own privacy policy)

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect people's safety, or as part of a merger or sale of the business. These providers may process data in the United States and other countries.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, portfolio, services and uploaded files. Records of orders you took part in, and the messages about them, are kept for the other person and for accounting and legal reasons, with your account shown as deleted. Reviews you wrote stay on the freelancer's profile as from a “Former client”. We may keep other limited records where needed for security or to resolve disputes or reports, and backups are overwritten on a rolling schedule.

Your choices and rights

You can view and edit your information in your dashboard, and delete your account at any time from your account settings, where you can also download a copy of your information (your profile, services, messages, attachments list, orders, payments and reviews) as a file. For anything that file doesn't cover, or for help with anything else, email info@piedmontsys.com.

Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have additional rights, such as to know, correct or delete the personal information we hold. We won't treat you differently for using them.

Children

EditorFlows is for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

Security

We protect your information with access controls, encryption in transit and restricted database permissions. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this policy as EditorFlows changes, and tell you about meaningful changes before they apply.
